Currently, there are only two NOAA datasets available for download in the NOAA Earth Systems Data Portal: NOAA Rapid Refresh (RAP) weather forecast data and National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) data. Users can choose to download the data via Web Browser or via REST API Download. In order to download the NOAA data ﬁles, users will need to create an account.
NOAA RAP weather forecast data ﬁles are available for download via Web Browser and REST API. NMFS data is available for download only via Web Browser.

About Rapid Refresh (RAP) Data Files
RAP weather forecast ﬁles are available from March 2016 to March 2017, and the forecast ﬁles are available in 1 hour increments. The ﬁles range from 0 hours (current weather) to 18 hours in the future. NOAA High Resolution Rapid Refresh (HRRR) will be added in the future.
About National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) Data Files
NMFS historical data is available for timeframes of up to 25 years, depending on region and data category. There are three major categories of Fisheries files.
NOAA NMFS Directory Schema
Trawl Data: Includes details of periodic survey trawls conducted by NMFS Science Centers. Includes catch information as well as details of the techniques used and conditions under which the survey took place.
Observer Data: Includes aggregated data collected during NOAA's deployments of observers to collect catch and bycatch data from US fishing vessels.
Essential Fish Habitat Data: Includes species-specific shape files which outline fish habitat data used for managing species and making regulatory decisions for fish habitat protection.
